Space

Adlingtons’ journey into automated fabrication processes started with a purpose visit in the early 2000s to a company based in California that were building robotic welding equipment for NASA. The company’s scope of works was to supply an unmanned system to perform welding on advanced materials at extreme temperatures whilst inside a chamber. The visit was a success and Adlingtons procured its first robotic welding system from this company.

Extensive efforts went into the further development of robotic equipment, originally designed for controlled environments only. This was the beginning of Adlingtons’ automated approach to manual fabrication methods. Collaborating with research and development partners, Adlingtons’ design integrated mechanical and electrical solutions to meet the demands of the expanding Australian space industry.

The Adlingtons team are driven by a genuine commitment to precision and quality in both mechanical and electrical engineering. Our extensive experience in multiple industries enables us to develop dynamic solutions that lead to high-performance, durable products. Adlingtons’ background in hygienic and defence manufacturing positions us as an ideal partner for the space industry.
